witching hour ....?

I often find my self waking anywhere from 1:30a - 3a. This is a daily occurrence for me.
It does not matter if I go to bed early or late. Or how tired or rested I may be.
Would this be the ideal time for meditation or casting spells?

yes it would be...arond the times of 12 am to 3 pm door are opened and shut in the spirit...itt is a good time to cast spells and meditate because this is when the powers of the night are are there strongest...experienced witches and warlocks use this time window to cast their spells etc....so if you want to do a little mediation around that time it is good....

Actually, the witching hour was midnight and was popularized by literature (Sjakespeare, to be exact). While it does have its appeals as a time to cast spells and meditate, you do not Need to do so then.
Try experimenting. Compare your experiences from these times to ones during the day, whichever one produces the best results for you personally might be a good idea to start doing regularly.

it's any time between midnight and 4 since that's the darkest points, at 4 the sun starts to rise in certain places. i've dealt with spirits, and i've noticed more activity around 3 am, though this is only around certain times of the year.

it was coined, as Lancer mentioned, by Shakespeare, but Washington Irving also used it in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to warn when they Horseman would be seen. [credit would go to Shakespeare though since Irving came about 200 years later]

whoever coined it though, it has been noted for centuries that around this time of night spirits seem to grow stronger, along with all types of magical powers. if you feel this is the best time to cast, go for it. personally, unless i have to stay awake all night, i can't make it past 10:30. [unless i'm watching tv lol]

what i typed before was a typo...anyhow...from experience...the powers of the night are especially powerful around 12 am to 3 am..when i worked shift at night and was on patrol around 12 am..I would see spirit walking all along the road...I startled me...but i pretended as if i did not see them...this time is where the veil between both worlds is at is weakest..so it is a good time to cast spells etc...experienced withces and wizards do this as well because it is at this time the world is sleeping...but doors and gates open in the spirit around this time.....what i stated was a suggestion but at the end of the day...whenever you decide to meditate and cast spells is up to you

It does seem that the 12 a.m. time is the neo-pagan/wiccan version of the witching hour. Another way to look at it is it's 3 a.m. because it's the inverted time Geebus was crucified. Making it a little more than a witching hour probably, but thats if you beleive in that.. blessings all...
