Hey i was looking at ways to grow my own crystals with simple chemicals. I was wondering, would artificial crystals have any metaphysical (magical) powers??? I intend to make salt crystals scene salt has powers but what about baking soda, copper phosphalt, alum, or sugar crystals? I know that they arent actual stones but could i use them to focus my energy or for any magical uses? please comment asap! thanks and blessed be :D

Alchemy is a magick with influencements in chemistry. Although I prefer my crystals naturally formed through our mother earth, others find ways of integrating magick into science through ways like you speak of. I don't see anything wrong with it, however I myself don't know of a way to utilize that for magickal purposes. I suppose it is all within the mind of the maker. It can't hurt to try. Go for it and let us know what you come up with. If it works for you that's all that matters. At the very least you'll gain more knowledge about how crystals form and that in itself could be very rewarding! Observation is one of the best ways to understand the way things work.

If you are a user of energy manipulation and can find a good source to pull from you may be able to set up a tunnel(for lack of a better term) of energy between your source of energy, you, and the crystal that you are making. My suggestion is that you use something that has alot of energy as a source as you do not want to drain someone or something of all their(its) energy to fulfill your own personal wishes. I would use the sun, or if you live near a large body of water you could use that, a candle flame could work as well(as long as it doesnt go out).

However the crystals you make would only be storage containers for the energy, raw energy that once withdrawn would still need to be given a purpose.
