Why are most people emo

I'm not trying to sound rude, but if spells and stuff really work and help your life in little details then why are most people on this website depressed. I just really wanted to know.

i think depressed and emo are two different things now but idk really. Im extremley sensitive and could be labled emo, but i dress nothing like it an hate most of the music associated with it(the style part). That said even magic has nothing to do with either of those things. its different for everybody, I think the ones who get the most out of it are called to it, the ones who may have the emotional issues you talk about are more practitioners of craft than a person who makes it a lifestlye.

then again if you use magic in a dark way imo that darkness can become a part of you and vice versa

I ask myself the same question. It's probably just the fashion, because everyone else does it. In my opinion, I think they need to open their eyes to the real world. There is no evil, there is no death unless you make it happen.

well emo and gothic people tend to be more open minded especially towards religions and so compared to preppy people they are more likely to convert from christianity to wicca and paganism. also stereotypically witchcraft is very dark and so are emo people but like witchcraft, emo people are misunderstood and so emo people tend to bond to witchcraft. It is not a bad thing at all because a lot of emo paople who turn to wicca find true happiness in the craft and become less deppressed.

I wouldn't say emo. I wouldn't call anyone emo. Since emo is just a type of music. And who knows? It's their personal business

Emo and depression are two different things. Allot of people might take offence in this thread, but as it has been said emo and Gothic people are more open minded.

no one should take offense to this thread, he said he didnt mean to be rude, just an honest question.

open minded in certain ways yes. imo anyone who opens their mind is then open minded, nothing to do with clothes music or even culture.

I find it rather disturbing that anyone feels one type of lifestyle is more open-minded than any other.

In fact, I would find anyone to make such a statement, to be opposite of such a claim, eg: saying "I'm emo/goth therefore I am more open minded than someone of a different 'style'" is a very closed minded thing to say.

well i think its because emo and gothic people want to go to their "dark side" and witchcraft is sterotopically seen as a dark art, which it really isnt. but must people i know that look into witchcraft, pagan, wicca, ect, and that are emo or gothic find the "light" and became less depressed or dark. and not everyone here is depressed.

Magick is you sending your thoughts into the universe and so on and so on. It doesn't matter what kind of thoughts your sending, it will be sent and worked towards your life.

For example, if I wanted a car then I would keep dreaming about it and thinking about it until I can buy one or someone give it to me.

Same thing with bad thoughts, if someone checks the mail thinking they will just get bills then they would most likely just get bills.

Tip, go watch The Secret. It basically supports Magick.
