Pet Protection Spell
By:
I just did this one as my first ever practice of magik. It's a pet protection spell and heres what I did:

Ingredients:
Bay leaves,
Salt,
oregano,
cumin,
three candles.

Grab a handful of salt and put it where you will be practicing. Draw a pentagram with the salt. Place the three candles at the top of the pentagram, and put your cumin on top of the pentagram, the bay leaves at the left side of the pentagram and the oregano on the right. Your pet may be present with you but I left my pet in his room so that he wouldn't get scared and interfere. I then chanted this:

“Furry and mysterious
You have blessed my life
And my magickal practice
With your sweet spirit
And the essence of your soul.”

“Be blessed and welcome
Companion and helper
As you boost my power
By lending your strength
And your own deep magick.”

“May we live together
And practice together
For many years to come
And bring joy and strength
As we grow in our bond.”

“In perfect love and perfect trust
May we practice our magick
O blessed familiar.”

“So Mote It Be!”

Comment and tell me what you think, I could actually use the help at the moment considering that was my first spell I conducted!

Did you study and practice the basics before attempting this ritual? Otherwise you probably weren't aware of which energies you were directing and it may have not been that successful.

This seems a little far fetched to be honest, like Lark said. It looks a little bit plagiarized which is not normally allowed on SoM.

Also "Mote It Be" is normally found in spells that are not the best idea. It can be found in fluffy spells like 'become a mermaid, ect.

Normally Well written spells are tried and you can tell if there written. Not to offend but it seems a little to good with words to be someones actual writing. Luck

"So mote it be" is really like saying "Let it be so" and is actually very common, especially in Wiccan practices. My own coven would occasionally use it whenever the coven did some sort of magical working. It isn't necessarily either fluffy or out of Harry Potter.

The word Mote is old English, and meant "perhaps". In modern English the word has become"might". In old English "might" meant strength, power. So, saying Mote it be, is really saying "might it be", or "perhaps it will be". And I was being somewhat sarcastic about that particular post, which is, to my Mind Fluff, and Harry Potter.I know that Wiccans use that phrase; but they are serious. The above "spell" is not!
