How do I start my path in wicca I am so confused I found out that my patron goddess is Athena and I counteract her by using Ares as my patron god. But I don't know where to go from there.

I suggest reading posts by the moderator Lark under Wiccan in forums as I used it as a springboard start and she is very informative, and gives resources to continue and deepen your knowledge beyond what she has taken the time to explain.

Here are some links to help you:

http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=71692-Starrie's "Starting Out" post

http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=483942-AwakeTooLong's "Basics: Expanded" post

Also about.com is a good site for all kinds of info. Once there, put Wicca basics in the search bar. It will take you to basics of magick, too. I was on it for hours just looking and reading. And copy and pasted a lot of things to my computer.
Blessings!

You could also find a coven that works with Wicca mainly. Then you find a group of people with the same goal, it helps me.. Goo luck
