2. what happens in meditation?
3. How do you meditate on something? Like do just think of it until an answer randomly pops up for example? Would you do the same things for finding your spirit guides, element ect ect?

good questions.

1. Many reasons, but the primary function is to center yourself and balance your energies. Also used to destress, gain focus, find peace, etc.

2. Depends on the school of thought you follow. Eastern and Western methods are very different and seek different goals. For me, it is simply to slow down the random flow of thoughts enough to relax and focus on a specific one.

3. After gaining the focal relaxation point, yes, you concentrate on the purpose of your meditation and it will often bring answers from deep down.

4. I always start training students with a simple candle meditation where all of your thought and focus is on the movement of the flame. Not trying to manipulate it, but simply looking at it.
