the runic alphabet

I've been using the runic alphabet in a lot of the spells I've been writing and performing lately. Since I don't have the entire thing memorized these spells tend to take me awhile to perform. Does anyone else like to use symbols in their everyday magick?

I sometimes use my tarot cards as symbols of what they mean in magic, and I also inscribe my candles/ or parchments(paper) with my secret code :P. I have used this special writing to charge very important art work.

P.S. I recall a Scott Cunninghma's book, 'Solitary Practitioner' to have a variety of common symbolism that can be used in magic. I do know many wiccans use these commonly, other's like to write in different alphabets in order for example: To keep their book of Shadows private.

I've used it to keep whats written as part of that particular spell more private and make it look like gibberish to people that aren't familiar with it.

I use them when working in my Book of Shadows along with using them on my door. When doing a spell though I will use them some times like if im using a candle for somthing i will etch into the candle. Other then candle magic though I don't tend to use them.
