No Ingredient Spells

Post # 1
(I may be placing this forum in the wrong section, it just seemed very related to Magic Items)

Since i'm pretty much "In The Broom Closet" with Magick, i don't have much of a way to get ingredients for spell casting besides the ones one would normally have on hand at home, so i was looking for ways to cast spells that need ingredients, without said ingredients.

I came across this page:

http://magic-spells-and-potions.com/asksfx/simple_spells_without_ingredients.htm

So i was wondering, can you actually use a matrix construct/visualization of ingredients for spells as long as you treat them as if you had the physical object placed in the correct position for the spell laid in front of you?

Yeah, sure. Often times, ingredients of a spell are there to symbolize something and get you into the 'mood' of spellcasting. They are not needed, and you can imagine or substitute ingredients as neccessary.

Nothing is needed really. Ingredients help you focus your intent and will but really they are not necessary at all.

Ingredients are symbolic. They can help aid in a spell to provide as guides .

Ingredients help you put more focus/intent on what your doing. Some people believe that the ingredients put more intent into the spell and others don't.

@Ciplbilher

Indeed!

A length of yarn can represent a candle. If you're working to a particular end, I suggest the yarn to be the correct color.

Any type of red flower, can be used in a love spell.

Etc.
