What was this?

I remember a few years ago I was doing something with my brother. Then I sort of felt something... it wasn't like I heard an actual voice, but more like I sort of got this "feeling"... it was saying that right now, and only right at that moment, I had the power to make people fall asleep. I was just like "whatever, I'm probably crazy" but tried it on my brother, and he instantly fell asleep. He woke up about two seconds later, but to this day I've wondered what exactly happened
