Hoodoo herb and root magic by Cat Yronwode is a Good book on herbs and their uses in Hoodoo I also read Old Style Conjure by Starr I liked the book but the one from Cat Yronwode is a very good and informative book

I would suggest that you find someone to teach you hoodoo. The reason being that books usually just give information rather than teach you the actual art of hoodoo. Also hoodoo is more traditional and usually passed on mouth to ear, rather than book to mind.

Books aren't usually the best way to go when it comes to learning Hoodoo, as said above, this is something that is usually taught rather than learned by a book. Books will give you an overview of information on the practice and such, but I do agree with the books recommended by Vodouisant; those would be a good starting point if you were to learn a bit more about Hoodoo.
