I desperately want to tell my friends that I am an aspiring witch, but feel I may be disclosed because of my religion, and my practice. Any tips on how to break it to them easily?

That is a tough situation there, and I fell ya'. There are times when I feel the urge to reveal my secrets, too, but I can never seem to do it. Just remember that you may be the only witch they know, so how you present yourself to them will give them the positive impression that witches are not crazy, evil and like what they see in the movies and read about in books. Also remember that there are laws that protect people (witches) from persecution and discrimination, so it may be good to know what protects you legally, in case it takes a wrong toll. Just also remember to keep calm when explaining what you 'are', it may take some time for them to adjust to that fact. Be willing to answer questions they have, and don't get defensive. If they ask things that are too personal, just politely let them know where your boundaries of discussion are. If they are your true friends, they will still accept you as a friend and be open about your way of life. If you don't plan on being friends with them forever, think carefully before telling them your secrets. Also make sure you aren't somewhere EVERYONE can overhear you.
