SOM mail

I just had a member email and ask me what kind of work I do. Considering that they didn't have a pic or a bio, I blocked their messages. If you are going to message me, please at least have a profile, or I will not respond

I agree. There are far too many without anything on the profile.

I can understand both points, however we will never understand anything if the message is lost due to spelling of reasons and information being used in such way that one might think you have an intimidating wood project. ;-)

It is not so much about having a photograph of oneself, more about the member's interests, experience, competence; and age! It is all very well members claiming that just because other members are young they know nothing. That is obviously not true.If the young post sensible writing, that is fine. But very often the posts are not only without much sense, but are "fluffy". The other information that can be helpful is Location; just town and country is enough. I seem to be forever telling the young that a "personal" teacher is better than one on-line. By profiling their location they may find a personal teacher living close!
When there is absolutely nothing on the profile nobody can judge if the member is worth replying to, or is a complete nutter!

Therefore, it's ultimately up to the member what course of action is to take. The block feature is there and you can use it at your disposal at anytime you wish for any reason you deem fit. However, I see both points, but ultimately, judge no book by its cover is my advice, but also do what you will. ^_^

I don't answer emails from people without profiles because of spam. this is sort of a public site. so if someone with a totally blank profile ask me "what type of magick do you do", then they're not gonna get an answer.

It doesn't matter to me what your age is, what path you're on. but before you ask me questions, you should be able to have a little something about yourself. It doesn't have to be a pic of you.
