If you are a newbie in this, I suggest you first master the basics like medtiation, visualization, grounding etc., before you cast spells.

You have basics covered on this site in the newbie central.

Good luck.

Lady is right. You need to be able to focus your energy and do it easily; grounding and centering helps. There are lots of spells where you don't need a wand or athame. You just replace it for your hands, as long as you have something to use to focus the energy.

I agree. Once you have mastered the basics and are ready to do spells you can use anythin from nature if you need and useing your hand as a replacment for a warnd and athem is perfect.
Tools are simply there to help the mind focus while preforming magick. Most experianced practioners dont use any tools at all

Yes never did they say magick needed tools, the reasons for tools is to make the spell more effective. So yes you can practice magick without the tools. Well atleast the basics of magick.

Who knows? Your parents might be more understanding than you think.

You could try writing your own spell that doesn't need any materials or materials that are difficult to come by. With enough proper education that wouldn't be a problem. You need to learn more about spell craft and how spells work. You don't necessarily need to study meditation, visualization, energy flow, or grounding extensively to be able to cast a spell successfully but those topics certainly will help you understand preparation for spells. Preparation is no less important than the actual casting.

Also, I wouldn't recommend casting spells for no apparent reason. Every time a spell is cast the caster is asking for a change in what would have otherwise been. Every successful spell has consequences; sometimes all are desired, sometimes all are not, often times both. Unless you are willing to deal with the possible aftermath that is within your capacity then I would suggest thinking twice about casting a spell. This is frequently a thought that might put off beginners which is why many are urged to learn the craft long before attempting to actually cast spells.

If testing a spell or your own competence is the goal you really don't have to go through a spell to accomplish that. You could sit down and map out how the spell will work:
- What you'll do to prepare for the spell
- When you should cast the spell if you are not happy with the suggested timing or if it is not specified
- Any dedication to specific entities you'd like to add
- What you could do to help the spell work after you've cast it
- What kind of things can happen because you cast this spell and did not specify while casting it said happenings
- What you can do to resolve any issues that you might see arise

Theoretical spell craft can help you when it finally comes to actual practice.

Lady, I don't think you can master a basic, because even members with years of experience still struggle with meditation, visualiseation, etc....

Your mum and dad can not 'force' you to give up. Its your life, your do what makes you happy.

Bloody semantics.

Honestly, I don't care for meditation. Also, your parents do have a say until you are out of the house.

spirit, yes actually if they are legally under 18 they are property of their parents/guardians. If their parents/guadians do not want them practicing, they have all the authority to get rid of the stuff and stop it. Yes I would find it quite immature of the parents/guardians, but it is the sad fact.
