Am I a Dream Medium?

So about 6 months ago I had an extremely vivid dream about a little girl, who was about maybe 8 years old. I was playing with her and she was laughing and giggling, and then when at one point we were resting on the ground she turned to me and said "*Liza can you help me?" and I responded 'sure sweetie, whats up?" And she told me her name was *Aurora and then she asked me to tell her bother she loved him, and that she was ok, and couldn't wait to see him again. She also told me very seriously that I was to tell him that *It's NOT his fault* she stressed this point several times to me. I agreed and asked her who her brother was and was shocked when she named an extremely friend of mine. Shortly after I woke up, and couldnt get the dream out of my head. After an hour or so of thinking I called my friend and told him about the dream and relayed the message, asking if it meant anything to him. I got nothing but silence for a few minutes and then he started crying... once he calmed down again he told me about his little sister... and how she had died some years earlier. I was still not completely certain about my dream child being the same girl, so I described her to my friend causing another small meant of tears. I had described her detail for detail, including her name.

Since then I've had 4 or 5 more dreams involving *Aurora, each time she tell me something of her past, just some small thing, and I ask my friend who confirms it as total truth.
All of theses new dreams are just as vivid as the first and I have no idea what they could be. Am I really talking to my friends deceased little sister? If so does that mean I'm a medium?
Any advice would be welcome.

*Not the real name of the person (for privacy reasons I changed both my name and her's)

That would be one sign.. You're obviously receptive, but can you put out the energies to contact them, or do they have to make the first contact?

I'm not sure, I've never tried to call her to me in my dreams or any other time, because growing up I was taught never to mess with something you didn't understand. And I most definitely don't understand these dreams. But at the same time I'm not sure if she calls me to her, most times she just shows up at an early point in the dream I'm already having (most of which I never remember) and then the dream changes to the forest (which I remember with startling vividness). After that she and I would just play, or talk, or do something else and after waking I would always be confused on why I have never asked her important questions (I.E Why she is here, where we are, in the dream etc.)

So would that be her controlling the dream, and calling me to her?
Or would it be me calling her to me and her changing my dream?
(I'm sorry if that sounds moronic)

First you must realize that in order to touch energies on a higher or lower level you must alter your conciousness in some way. Sleep does this naturally which is why that most cases of astral projection usually occure when one is sleeping or in a sleep state to start with. Once you learn to controll it a little bit better then you can enter it in other ways. Meditation has this same effect. When you speak to spirits as a medium does if you want to call it that you are altering your perceptions of that which is around you. So yes if you want to call yourself a dream medium then that is what you are but perhaps if you devolop yourself in other ways you might be able to touch this area without the need for being in a sleep state. Or you may come to do so automatically.

Hello Liza.

Though you show some ability, I wouldn't label you a "dream medium", just yet.

Since you haven't spoken to other spirits, it would seem this little girl, is using you for her own purpose(s).

If ( or when ) this situation is resolved, and other spirits start appearing, then I'd say you're a "dream medium".

I don't want to sound condescending, I'm just looking out for your well-being.

Dillon,
Thank you for the advice, and I'll be sure to work on meditation more often. I seems like it may be a good idea to see if the same 'Dream' situation with Aurora happens when I'm meditating. As well as to see if any other spirits come into contact with me.

Thank you for your advice and honest opinion. You did't seem condescending, just helpful.
I'm not sure whether to hope I am what I thought, or hope that I'm not, But at least I know that it's a possiblity now. So thank you.
