(Yes please.)

Energy is energy. What you learned in text books is almost the same. We use and control it. When we use the energy it is kinetic energy, when we meditate and "warm up" for spells it's potential. Now when we chant and cast spells we use that energy, not as an object but with our will. It's just a different use and force.

Please, if you will, define "void" and "time." These qualities are used frequently to describe a great many things.

Death energy (or death essence as it is sometimes called) is the energy of death itself and is used in necromancy. Like most energies it has no true colour but unlike most energies it has painful side effects. Death energy is gathered from scenes of death (not so much corpses as death energy does not cling to them) and the netherworld. It is generally used in spells to inflict injuries such as blindness and muscle decay. Contrary to common belief it is very difficult to actually kill someone with death energies as the amount of death energy travelling through your body would have potent side effects.

Pickle what exactly does that have to do with spirits? Death is the transitional stage, but spirits are not dead, their physical bodies are (if they were ever carnate to begin with).

Let me correct myself, you are right, death energies are not gathered from the netherworld but areas where the veil is thinnest aka where death has occured as the soul travels from the mortal plane to the 'other side'.

Yes, essentially death is the actual veil itself, which is why many shamans feel that they must endure a "death" before being able to become a true shaman. The only way to walk inbetween the worlds is to craft a way to cross the veil and come back. This theory has always fascinated me. The only thing that makes me weary is more than half don't actually come back! It was seen as the ultimate test of the strength of your spirit and if you did come back, you were worthy of the title and blessed. Some took an easier route and would lie in a grave for 3 days straight in trance with someone standing guard to make sure animals did not bother or attack them.

As for this topic, I believe "technology" is the wrong word to use. Spirits are merely on a higher frequency of energy than we are. If you are interested in such things, you should look into parapsychology.
