Who was Solomon?

A biblical King, who was known for his writings and wisdom (along with his wealth, but I find that to be of lesser importance). He was the second son of David, by his wife Bathsheba. He was not the oldest, but he was thought to be his father's favorite, and David promised that Solomon would be the next king. There was some dispute, as the eldest son Adonijah tried to declare himself the true king. However, David brought Solomon to the Gihon springs and anointed him before he died. He was roughly eighteen years old when he took the throne. His reign lasted fourty some years, showing extreme stability and capacity to reign.

(You can read more about where he ruled, when he ruled and so on by following this link: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/14135b.htm)

The Wisdom of Solomon:

Solomon was known early on for his wisdom. One of the most well-known feats was when two women brought forth one child and each claimed it as their own. They wanted his consult and power of authority to judge who was the mother. Solomon proposed then that they split the child in half, and that each get one half. One woman happily accepted this, while the other begged Solomon to let the child live and stay with the other woman. He then knew she was the mother.

It is said that Jehovah appeared in a dream of his and asked him to choose a "boon". And instead of asking for wealth, or long life, or power- Solomon asked simply for wisdom."God said; 'Ask! What shall I give you?'" (I Kings 3:5)"Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?" (I Kings 3:9)
He composed roughly over three thousand proverbs, as well as a multitude of songs. Some biblical works are credited to him.

Great Key/Lesser Key of Solomon:
A collection, more or less, of medieval/post-medieval writings. There is much debate as to who the author truly is for this and how far these date back to. Legend gives credit to King Solomon himself for these works- however, many believe that it was simply a name they used at the time so as to not come publicly forth with these writings. Throughout the book you can find useful magick and interesting ideas. It is structured so as to teach someone how to summon demons, inform them of the hierarchy and names/seals of said demons. It's been translated several times ( S.L. MacGregor Mathers and Aleister Crowley for example) and each has their own variation and take on the texts.

This is Biblical! Could be true. Could be not! The story of David has two versions!

Quite. I never said I believed any of it- nor that it was all factual. It's information simply given from texts and literature. Though I should have posted more of an explanation.
