Coven Applications

Okay im starting to have this problem, im not sure if other priests/ess' have having it too, basically on my coven page it clearly states you must send an application to both the priest and priestess to be allowed entry to the coven. Now i have like 7 people wanting to join the coven but i refuse to approve because of no application.

If a coven requests an application please please PLEASE send one, its highly annoying, i myself send 1 message requesting an application and after 2 weeks i reject it if i hear nothing, but other leaders may automatically reject it, because it proves you are lazy and cannot be bothered to look at the coven page giving the impression you could not be bothered to participate actively and/or are only joining just for the content (spells).

okay rant over, sorry its like 2am when i wrote this.

Actually I couldn't agree with you more on this. As Priest of Dragon Magick, I run through the same crap. Usually I end up messaging the person to read the entire page. Now its getting to the point where I am not going to wait, and start rejecting.
Not to mention those who have to be told tend to become the most inactive in the Clan.

I agree, but the users who are not sending their application forms are in minority, and those same people will then ask you:

1) Why they have not been accepted in the coven when they don't have any bio/picture/application form

2) Why the coven leaders have not send them a message to tell them about the application, yet all the rules can be found on the coven bio.

I also agree , i had one person get abusive when i asked her for her application , saying the front page was confusing , when it clearly states in large red letters what to do .
People with no applications, bio, or picture will be denied entry .

I look at it simply anymore, if do not have the patience and desire to go through what is needed to join. Then I'm not about to go through the irritation of holding your hand through the process.Sadly enough we have a question that plainly asks what does the third dot under Membership Rules state? The answer is that you are required to post at least 2x a month. The first one to get it right was an 11 yr old. Her complete app. was complete and had proper grammar.
My question is if an 11 yr old can figure it out and complete each step on her own, then what is up with the rest of 'em? Sadly enough someone commented to me suggested that our last question on the App should be : "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" Now I'm starting to wonder....

On a different site with smaller covens once of which I used to "own", I also required an application an at first when someone didn't send it in I would email them and ask them to; after a while I got sick of trying and simply denied them.

Yeah, it is annoying but I just got used to it after a little while.

Big red letters is about as clear as it gets, it stinks that we can't put up a big blinking sign that says "Application needed or you get your butt rejected!" :]

Just fluffy... I try to act fluffy, nice and patient with those people. It only goes so far. Then I just have to end up getting frustrated because I can't really do anything about it. >_

A deep breath, good music, and mouse pointer gracefully poised over the Reject button. And click, and click, and ...... maybe I should let up off the button and let one or two in.... :P

I agree as well. I would normally just reject them, it saves me the trouble of removing them for inactivity later.
