Chants

Where does the power come from? Is it the words themselves, or the intention of the speaker? Oh and does the speaker need to have power, or does it work anyway?

I believe that it is the intent and energy/emotion behind the words, not the words themselves. You could say a chant or spell a million times and it would never work without intent and energy/emotion.

A chant has no power in and of itself. But it is a way to help you focus on the intent of your magical working and then to raise the energy to power the spell.

the power comes from deep inside you. When you chant it is important to keep your desire in mind and put as much emotion into it as possible. Also chants work best when they are vibrated from the very bottom of your lungs. The vibrations coupled with the number of times you speak the chants and your presence of mind all go to success.

Everything in existence is power, while the powers nature is not alvays the same (this is why different items effect spells differently), but the power is there always and forever
one dos not half to say the words, the words are a tool, the intende of the caster is weary important, but most important is to understand how magic works
The caster needs not power because they are power, anyone can cast spells, but that dosent mean that they dont half to do foucus training and spell reasorch
