Shadow People

Ok to start I will go into what I personally know about them ,but my question is basically just if anyone knows anything more then what I put down.

Since I was a kid a large man seemingly made of shadow has watched over me. He stands roughly 6,5 to 7 ft tall and alternates between those heights. His 3D silhouette shows that he seems to be wearing a wide brimmed hat as well as a very long coat. Other then those details he is just pure shadow not even showing a face. When my mother was a child her and my uncle would see him watching them as well.When i brought up seeing him when I was very young she told me he used to stand watch over my crib when I was a baby. As I grew older I was simply used to his presence ,but when he was gone or not around for periods of time I would suffer night terrors as well as very vivid visions and be assaulted by violent looking creatures. As I got older at times when I was in great physical danger he would warn me by sending a wave of energy through me that made me feel extreme fear. When I was in high school I was asleep and shook awake by a similar energy and I heard the words "You aren't alone" yell out into my head. I jumped awake and shortly after noticed several guys I went to school with running by my window in an attempt to damage my car(I caught them and scarred them off because of the warning). The stranger times came when he would appear before me and I would become very dizzy and fall to the ground passing out. During this time I would have extremely strange out of body experiences. The first time he ever did this I started having very painful heart problems that I have been going to a heart doctor different times for over the years. While I would normally see this as a negative thing the times I attempted to kill my self I would find my self standing over my body and next thing I know he picks me up and slams me back in. After a couple hours of "sleeping"I wake up and feel like a truck hit me. He has been with me all of my life and protected me even from myself. And yet he has very rarely "talked" to me and I know nothing as to why he does what he does. My uncle spent allot of time studying what he told me were "Shadow people" and that the "Shadow Man" as my mother called him was one of them. They tend to be found in places dense with spiritual energies. Places that are haunted are where they tend to be found for the most part but only because it's haunted they themselves don't "haunt" things as they were never alive. Instead they start off as small "blobs" of shadow that dart around most likely feeding off energies around them. From there they grow to have tentacle like appendages all over. After that it gets strand because they take the form of a small child and simly grow till they are about 6'3 then for some reason develop the hat and coat. They also show no signs of sentience until they gain the hat and coat. Until they then simple wonder around or just "watch" their environment. They don't give off any passive energies negative or positive. And don't seem to feed off energies in a way that harms others even spirits. I have seen all kinds of these shadow people over the years as I go around finding anyplace that is haunted or just spiritually dense. And I have very little idea how long it takes for them to grow or what they need to do so. One thing I notice is a very large lack of fully grown Shadow People. And I have never seen 2 in the same place at the same time.For all I know there is only one or they just avoid each other. I have a very large number of personal experiences with the shadow man that follows me around and he has taught me allot of things in his own way. I even learned how to fight because of him.And protect myself from the same things that hounded me as a child in his absence. Now if anyone has any other knowledge about them or where I could get information I would greatly appreciate it.

When i was half way through reading your post a shadow moved across half of my screen.

I didn't think it really relevant but he(it?) takes great interest in people who take interest in me. Which sounds odd at first but since I am very introverted and don't socialize someone showing interest is odd. And thanks I suppose idk if you are saying it is all apart of my imagination though or not. Normally I dismiss all things that happen when I am alone. But the fact that my family has seen it when they were children and then it moved on to me. As well as me and friends seeing it at the same time. I find it harder to dismiss as a hallucination

As this is an open forum, members may write what they please.Whether or not it is true is something else!
I could write that witchcraft has been in my family for many generations.It is not true! But I could write it.
Members will write that they are werewolves,mermaids, or they can grow wings and fly! They can write it; but it isn't true!

Some think they are djinn, others believe they are particular nature spirits, still others consider the possibility of psychopomps or lower world parasites.

I believe they are all right. I think it all depends. Some spirits are of light, others of darkness. Either can be bad or good people. Most of the spirits I work with are from the lower worlds.

If he helps you, then he is a guide/guardian. I would consider that he did not cause these dizzy spells or heart problem, but that he was there because he knew you were in danger of a health problem. If he also helps your family, then he is a guardian of your family. Who cares "what" he is? Labels are merely made up by humans to classify things. Just be grateful. Sometimes people need to learn just to accept that they will not know and understand everything. If he wants you to know, then you will.

In my tradition, we have multiple guides. One is over the entire family (blood line) and one is over individual people.

That is very understandable. I take everything people say with a grain of salt.But seeing as how until my mother and my uncle my whole family is pretty hard core southern Baptist I can't say I can pull my knowledge from my elders. And the best way I deal with people that may be lying is talk they aren't but take nothing they say to heart. That way if they aren't lying you don't shoot down someone with legitimate problems or curiosities. But if they are lying well no one gets harmed and they get to keep living a fantasy being a dragon/vampire/werewolf/fairy or whatever lol. I personally require a pretty decent amount of proof before I accept something as fact. If someone says they can fly I better see a video of it pretty soon you know? lol. But back to what this post is about. I am just looking for any and all info on shadow people(beings?) someone might have

When i read your post I just had to show it to my mom as well,
That part of him standing over your crib also happened to me and is one of my clearest memories of when I was that little.
I haven't seen the man ever since but I sense his energy most of the time when I feel close to breaking down.
It's like he wants me to know I have to go on. It's of importance but that I don't know why keeps me into falling in the same routine.

When i was kid.. I remember. i saw black man was standing in dark. Behind the bush, and watching at me. I think that was human.. But when i lookat him harder he suddenly disapired.. I was freaked out. I told to my parents what did i seen but they said thats my imagination.. Oh. And on more weird thing when i was looking at that shadow, was feeling he called me to come closer. But i was too scared..
