hey guys! star dive here, i wanted help on something. I'm a artist (specifically painting) and a beginner witch with very good natural visualization skill. when i paint i just close my eyes and almost instantly a amazing interesting original random thing comes to my head. thats how it usually is but recently when i close my eyes little to nothing comes..... is it because I've lost my creativity? i really dont know what it means but if someone could tell me what they think it is and what i should do about that would be fantastic. much love and Blessed be. ~stardive
Art is not only what you imagine, but what you see! Sometimes the Mind creates its own image, a bush where there is no bush. A building from a different aspect. A stream where there is no stream.
And,of course, painting the scene as it actually is!
Art is not just painting what you "see", but trying to make others see what you see!
Stardive... it is possible that something in your life is influencing you, possibly blocking you creativity. What you need to do is take a look at your life, see what has changed since you've "lost" your creativity, then see if it is something that you need to resolve. Our minds and bodies are amazing things, giving us warning systems to let us know that something might be wrong. It may be nothing but it's at least worth looking into. It may not even be you, but a friend who needs help and your creativity has been put on hold until you have helped this friend. Just throwing out ideas here. Best of luck to you.
ahhh. i think you may be right see this one time i heard this story i really liked and i thought to myself i wish i could write something as amazing as that.... and so i did. i got my pen and paper and with hardly thinking of it wrote something possibly even better..... maybe its because i got inspired by that book.... maybe i just need something to get me inspired?
