Ideas for Mabon?
By:

I am looking to celebrate Mabon this year, the Autumn Equinox, and I am looking for ideas on how I should. I know that Mabon is celebrating the harvest and preparing for the oncoming winter, and I wish to do a ritual celebrating that. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I make breads and cookies. I often make a harvest feast (turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegtables, etc). The smell of fresh baked goods is wonderful.
I use Mabon as a day to celebrate my paycheck. As I don't live on a farm or survive by what I can harvest in a year I feel it is more apt for me to celebrate the way I do make the money to live. It's a modern way to view the holiday and I am sure someone will have a fit about it. However it is my connection. I make prayers for those who grow the food I buy in the grocery store and I make prayers for the company I work for to have good business for the next year.

well i clean and put out autumn decorations [as well as get my place ready for winter] i also do preserves and baking. my coven comes over, we have a circle and an early thanksgiving potlock meal normally. we tend to do the Mabon feast in the afternoon/evening unlike Samhain and Yule which takes up the night.
