A sign or silly mouse?

Its not very often I ask for advise on here but I noticed something strange yesterday and would like to ask if anyone has experienced/heard of something simular and what it could mean, your opinions as to what you think it could be a sign of or if you think it was just a silly acting mouse.

I walked outside to get in my vehical and I saw something running in circles (counterclockwise) in the driveway. I approached it and it just kept running in a circle about two feet in diameter. I walked past it to get in my vehical, it stopped, looked at me and then went back to running in circles. I approached the mouse and started talking to him/her, it stopped, hunkered down like it was scared and looked right at me. At that point I got in my vehical and it started to run in circles again for a few moments, stopped, looked at me and walked under my truck. I started the engine and prayed that it was out of the way. I revved the engine a little in hopes to scare it out of the way. I backed up and did not see a little squished mouse so I left.

Anyone have some insight as to if this has some meaning behind it that it could be telling me or do you think it was just a silly acting mouse? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Additional information that could be of use: It was running counterclockwise in a 2-3ft diameter, the temperature was about 70°, wind was mild no more than 2-5 mph, sun was out/partly cloudy, neighborhood was quiet, mouse was about 2 ft from my vehicle door, driveway is gravel and I have a cat that I let out that hunts mice so it shouldn't be very care free in the open like that.

Thanks in advance for your input.

There is a genetic anomaly that shows up in some mice that causes them to constantly whirl in circles. Perhaps that was the problem with this little fellow.

Thank you Lark... that would make sense. I had just never saw a mouse do that and I like to try to keep my mind open to signs that the universe might be trying to convey to me. I figured it was a silly acting mouse but wanted to post here to see what others thought.

Thanks again, Lark. Your thoughts and opinions have always been valuable to me.

It sounds like wry neck. It happens in rodents. It is a inner ear infection. Making them unable to move properly. Running in circles, head tilted to one side. I've had rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters ect have it. Sad to see. Some never recover from it.

Hope this helps..
