Question

I was thinking earlier last night and wondering why when people come asking if magic can kill people or hurt people why we say yes. I mean first we should ask why they need to know this and why when they say their trying to curse someone do we give them the knowledge to be able to do it? This is one of the many reasons why when people reveal themselves as witches people get scared. I mean if people stopped using magic to harm people we wouldn't be on the news every once in a while for bad things happening to people. This stuff, along with a few other things gives people who practice the craft a bad rap. Why can't we just refuse to give the info to people who want to use magic to hurt?

I remember when someone wanted to use magick to assasinate Justin Beiber!

Ah, good times.

Blame Hollywood and fiction writers, Bird. Along with a serious lack of social and personal ethics among the generations.

Naw mostly witch hunters gave us horrible raps, and it's because people who want to kill someone else hasn't done anything else in the Craft (most likely) and they are not attuned to any of themselves to actually throw magic around like more experienced members

I agree with Oracle and I also want to add that they will find out the information whether we tell them or not. At least if we tell them, we are somewhat in control of what they will do. For instance, most people here know certain combinations of herbs and oils and other more advanced techniques that are never discussed. The answers are always simple and vague. The person will take it and run with it and end their search for answers. People always try to find the easiest route to their goal.

i agree with stonedy oracle and raven , but alot of the bad rap from the witch hunters goes to the witchs hammer, i mean ive seen some and done some crazy stuff since practicing magic but seriously that book was responsible for most of the deaths done toso called witches, because of its highly innaccurate statements which were accepted as gossple truth by the catholic public instantly and the people just got stupider

Thanks everyone for the info. I always like to hear the histories on the craft

9 times out of 10, the people who are seeking death or maiming spells can barely tie their shoes.
Then the ones who reply with the "instant super epic death of coolness" spells typically are the ones who also think they are 123432 year old vampicorns.

Really, there's little to be worried about.
