I saw a fortune teller

Today I was walking past a fortune teller place and I was curious, so I went in to talk to the lady. Everything she told me was on target. No surprise there. But then she said I have a dark shadow around me and bad luck. That's horrible!! Nobody wants to hear this! I'm a good person with a big heart! She said that the negative energy around me made one of my friends turn against me. I didn't trust her anyways, so that was a good thing. All the negative people in my life I keep at a distance, because I can't stand negative energy. She said to remove this negative energy I need to buy 4 candles which are way too expensive for me to afford. Then she says I should only buy 2. Either way its not in my budget. Is she just saying this to make money?? Is there anyway to rid the negative energy myself??? Is there anything that I can do that works?

This is a classic scam called the Gypsy Fortune Teller Scam. She will ask for a small amount of money to burn a candle for you. You pay her and return. She shows you a blackened candle glass and will tell you she came up under extreme opposition, that you have enemies against you, etc., scare you, and ask for more money. thousands of people have lost thousands of dollars this way. These so-called "fortune tellers" are masters at what they do.

I've often been tempted to visit a fortune teller. I'm glad I haven't done it. Thanks for your post. It opened my eyes, and saved me a little money.

I did have a similar experience with an online horoscope site. They sent me some very interesting "news" about some money that I was going to come into, a positive job change, etc. And for a fee they would tell me how to recognized the signs so that I wouldn't miss out. Funny thing is, the few tidbits that the site mentioned about me (a dark cloud around me, negative energy, etc) actually sounded accurate as I've been a little concerned about how things were going lately. Well, the money never materialized on the specified date, and neither did the job offer.

So why was is it that she knew things about me? Was it because of my tattoos, hair colors or they way I dressed? Well I looked at the list you sent and I already see some people that I have seen already that seem honest to me. Thank you for the list.

Sometimes people like that look for what are called micro expressions. They are small and subconscious movements that our bodies make. If you've seen the television show "Lie To Me" you'll be familier with them. They can not only reveal when you are lying but if someone is on the right track with information about yourself. Your tattoos, clothes, hair and even how you stand, sit or walk send signals to your personality.

I'm sorry you had a bad expirence. people like this so called "fortune teller" is out for money. It's easy to be a little accurate. When talking in general people give out so much info about themselves with out even being aware of it. I do reading and all i like to know is their birthday. I don't like knowing any thing else because then it's hard for me to decide what i'm sensing and what i already know. anyhoo. I don't sense anything evil or bad around you. in fact it's just the opposite. there's a very bright white light around you. If you want a general reading, message me your b-day. nothing else. no information please. and i'll message you back. it's okay if you don't want one, but keep in mind there is no evil around you. so don't sweat it.

peace,
blackcat

Most of the advice given here about scams is good. Fortune tellers are very good psychologists. They are there to make money, and nothing else.
