Try a rain storm spell, for me it is easy to learn.

Hmm... I suggest you try early time spells, like rain summoning, teeny-weeny little bits of white magic and if you're brave enough, a few small luck spells.

First off. Magic and spellwork aren't the same thing! They are entirely separate things! And in spellwork, there are nothing such as beginner spells, nor 'rain summoning' spells. (If there were, how come that none have sent rain to desert areas?) Id say that before you even think about doing a spell, learn about how spells work, what it takes, etc

Rain spells don't work. Any drastic weather altering spells wont work. Any drastic physically altering spells won't work (like becoming a vampire, werewolf, fixing a broken leg, whatever). And if those spells did ever work, they certainly wouldn't be for a beginner.

It's best you start off with what's known in the occult community as The Basics. Here's a few links on this that may help you...

These posts are pinned in the General Info forum, along with others similar to them.

Once you have got to grips with the topics in the articles above, try a simple spell like a luck spell or a protection spell now that you feel confident and know how to use your energy. Many of these can be found on the site, but the best way is to create your own. Also, remember magic is not all about waving wands and chanting incantations! Explore other areas: divination, herbalism, AP, the list goes on.

Another source of help could be gained by joining a coven on the site (click the Groups tab). You'll make some friends and people will help you if you have any questions, which you can always ask in the forums and chatter as well.

I'm sorta new too! (Started three years ago for a couple of weeks, stopped then started again not long ago)
The best thing to do first is the PSI ball, I literally had to practise a couple (ok 5) times to conjure an energy ball. By doing this it's like the base to quite a few spells. At the moment I'm just trying out the easiest spells I can find and energy spells to help strengthen.

Well, if you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.

You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the basics...in which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.

Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.

So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig
