Moon cycles and candles?
By:
I'm new to magic(k) and I'd like to acquire some knowledge before I cast any spells. First of all, which parts of the moon cycle are best for which types of spells? For example, perhaps a love spell on a waning moon? Also, which candles are best for which spells too? Does colour, fragrance and burning time matter? Thanks!

Silver.

For increase use waxing or full. For decrease waning or new. Most spells can be worked with a white candle as a substitute. I highly reccomend reading "The Basics of Magick" by Amber K

Here are some links to help you:

http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=71692-Starrie's "Starting Out" post

Also about.com is a good site for all kinds of info. Once there, put Wicca basics in the search bar. It will take you to basics of magick, too. I was on it for hours just looking and reading. And copy and pasted a lot of things to my computer.
Blessings!
