A friend of mine once took in some tea with rose petals inside, to following days after that he transformed into an ill, sluggish, being. He would be very, very forgetful about things, his mind would wander and he wouldn't be able to focus. We discovered that the tea was the root of his problem, but thats because it was a new thing added to his system that made him irregular, he, I suppose, was allergic to the rose petals.

Sprinkle a mixture of basil and salt (50/50) around the perimeter of your home to stop the enter of evil entities into your home. Basil is excellent for purification baths (along with Epsom salt). Put a sprig in your pocket or purse to bring money.

Catnip tea is good for morning sickness. Catnip is used in love spells in conjunction with rose petals, If grown near the home, it will attract good spirits and luck. Use large catnip leaves as bookmarks in your magical books to give the words therein strength.

Rose petals sprinkled around the house will calm stress and reduce household upheavals. Dried Rose Petal tea is good for headache, dizzieness , mouth sores, and cramps.

Take caution when using catnip internally. Using large quantities over an extended period of time is known to cause psychosis in some individuals.

The scent of basil is good for keeping peace between two lovers. You carry it around fresh in a sachet. It eases tension between people. It is used in prosperity and love spells, also sometimes in exorcism.

Catnip is said to draw positive energy and spirits when grown near your home or hung on your doors/windows. When mixed with rose petals it makes a good love sachet. Burning it at your altar during meditation is said to bring the spirits of felines.

Roses are most often used in love and beauty magic. The rose hips, when made into a tea and drank before bed, is said to induce prophetic dreaming :)
