Did I make it rain?

An hour ago, it was sprinkling. Since I love the rain, I decided to do a Rain Spell. After I casted the spell, I waited inside for it to rain. After 10 minutes, it began to rain, and I'm wondering if it was I who made it rain. Right now, it is slightly raining. How do I know if I was the one who made it rain.

P.S. The weather says it will rain tonight. Therefore, I'm starting to believe that I did make it rain.

Sorry, but no, it was jus a concidense, you can't use spells to control the weather, it could be sprinkling, then a cloud came over thus making it rain :)

Wish we had some of that rain, we have forest fires over here.

Since it was already sprinkling and rain was in the forecast when you did your spell then it is almost certainly coincidence that it rained rather than being anything that you did.

I would agree that we can call that coincidence since the forecast said so.

I won't agree that the weather spells works at all, although it is quite possible to change the weather unintentionally. Our emotions are connected in a way with our surroundings, that by releasing negative energy or thoughts, can make the sky pour out rain. I am sure some people have experienced that at one point in time or several occasions. Although it could still be called a coincidence, since nowadays even if the sun is out parts of the world experience rain. And I literally mean raining while the sun is out. It is up to you to, if you want to believe it or not.

it was beginning to rain, you said a few words then it began to pour? plus the weather report calls for further rain? in this instance i will say no, it was due for rain, the rain was beginning, your spell was unnecessary. i will go out on a limb and say perhaps your spell made it rain sooner, but i doubt it caused the rain.

weather spells are a grey area in magick. while weather is natural, what you are doing is not making a few rain clouds appear over your house, how weather works is a global answer, so you're actually moving whole weather patterns which effects the world. this is seen by many pagans as too much power for a human to possess. yet historically there are tribes who would preform rituals to bring rain, so perhaps you need a larger group to preform them. i remember a few years ago there was a tropical storm that was going to hit Florida but a church group [claims anyway] prayed the storm would miss Florida, and it did, unfortunately, it hit the next two states as a hurricane. it could of been nature, it could of been their prayers, but what i take from the story is if they let the storm hit Florida there would be far less damage and casualties if they let it be.

There is missing pieces of information so it is hard to say for sure. All I can say is that multiple cultures throughout history have had rituals & prayers dedicated to the weather while hoping that it would have some influence on it. Saying otherwise would be disrespecting those practices and not acknowledging them which many new-agers tend to do. It is frowned upon on the website. No one can control the weather with magic (i.e. making it snow in the middle of summer), but we may be able to influence it under the right conditions (i.e. it sprinkling but there is not a high chance of it getting harder or there being gray clouds in the sky).

It could be coincidence but that remains uncertain. We would have to consider the chance percentage of it going to rain, what time it was presumed it would rain, and so on. It could be that your spell had some influence. Who knows? That is the missing information that makes it hard to say for sure. We wouldn't know.

I believe that it was purely coincidence but thats just me. But if it was drizzling when you said the spell then chances are that it was going to rain anyway

So much negativity on this topic. Try this, next time it rains, ask nature to show you her fury. If it storms violently afterwards, you're on to something. If it doesn't, don't stop trying, all magicks take practice ;).
