Devotion to a Goddess

I want to devote to a Goddess. I'm thinking on making an altar for beginning, the problem is I have no idea how. Also my parents and family don't know of this, the don't believe in that and they won't react nicely... I have none of the ingedients needed and extremely limited space-almost impossible to keep it secret. I'm not even able to buy a statue of her or print a picture...

What can I do? I really want to devote my self more as I'm already devoted, but I don't know how. Also, I've noticed people say to pray and such. I sing her mantras daily-if not daily once in couple of days, and I really have a extremely deep connection to her. I don't know if praying should be just talking to the Deity for safety and such. I talk to the Goddess actually very often out loud, but I don't ask her to keep me safe, healthy and so on. I'm talking to her like she's my mother and I appreciate all the things she's doing for me. I don't want to dissapoint her.

Always be careful when you live under someone else's roof and practice something they may not approve.

A physical altar is not necessary, though many mundane objects can be used which would never raise suspicion.

Having an amulet, or even a "pocket altar" (something like a few purposed trinkets in an Altoids tin) can be of great use with a closeted practice.

In the mean time, having an object-free practice may end up being your best option, as it will leave no physical evidence of your beliefs. But it doesn't have to stop your study, singing, and so forth.

You could get a small box (such as a shoebox). Put things you can easily get that your Goddess likes (for example, if she is associated with youth, you could put acorns in the box, since they are used in many youth spells. If she is associated with purity, you could put white stones or small white tea candles in).

When you want to pray, close the door and take everything out of the box and place it on the altar.

The others have given you some good suggestions. But I'd also like to suggest the book " Devoted to You" by Judy Harrow that discusses in depth how to create a bond with a specific God or Goddess and how to maintain that closeness over time. I think you'd find it both fascinating and helpful.
