Rider Waite Deck !
By:

So I am reading a book called modern magick byDonald Michael kraig and he mentions that Waite wasn't being honest in creating the deck he made. He put images to confuse people or trick them. It said in modern magick he did this because he was involved with the golden dawn.

Now since I got my deck, and reading this book as well as the pictorial key to the tarot. Should I be weary of the meaning behind what was said in modern magick by Donald, Should I be careful on interrupting these cards because of what Donald mentioned about Waite ?

thoughts please? thank you,

I have read about so-called 'blinds' in the RWS deck as well. But even people who are well aware have said it does not inhibit their ability to use them.

Supposedly, the RWS deck is a pictoral guide to occult practices as well. Blinds may be inserted to hide this from non-practitioners. Something may only be meaningdul to a person who is aware of it.

Its a great Deck, Kraig Himself is the king of adding blinders
And Waite is one of my favorite occult writters but his problem
Is that he spend to much time trying to Debunk everything and make odd claims, while translating Levis works he adds many sometimes nasty comments, Manly P Hall have a great lecture on waide and his problems of confusing everyone
The deck is the most popular in the world for a reason, it works very well, Other decks are a bit different but there is no wrong or right.. Modern magick is one of my Favorite beginners books
But you need to build off of it,you can get anywhere off that book alone except for confusion
