I have hit a brick wall in my research into souls and astral beings. To complete my experiment I have to trap a spirit into a crystal in order to forcefully harness its power. The astral nexus I am drawing upon is that of the lower layers. The transmundane beings there appear to consist of dreamers unaware of themselves being out of theirbody and lower energy spirits preying upon them like wolves. However some spirits who live in these subdimensions are extremely powerful and have much more important agendas than lowering themselves like the other spirits do.
Despite all this I would like to experiment with binding magic in order summon some of these beings, binding them into a circle, and then forcing them into a crystal that I have already collected. This can be dangerous, but if done successfully the power from the spirits can be infused into objects in order to strength those that touch them. The aspect in which the energy shall affect is of my own will and shall not be discussed further.
This comes to my questions. If anyone who does read this have experimented with binding magic or intend to, how would I go about doing this? What kind of binding would you use(cords, knots, circle entrappment, ect)? And what could the energy be used for?
If one were to successfully trap my spirit into a crystal and harness its power then they would obviously deserve it because I was unable to defend it. However trapping a human spirit is un-ethical and morally wrong. I asked for tips and helpful advice when it comes down to the essence of the spirit not your petty critisism.
The ability to do something does not make it the right to do so, nor the correct thing to do. I could easily kidnap a lot of people's pets, and by your logic, the pets' owners would have no recourse, as my ability to lift a small dog makes that dog mine by default.
Most people who work with entities will explain that they do not command spirits; they work with them. They do not summon; they call. Spirits, they believe, are free beings just like people. They are treated with respect.
People may ask for a spirit to help with something, such as endowing a particular energy upon a crystal, to accomplish a purpose, but that will likely be the limit.
Many will also advise you of forcing the will of an entity, warning that if it finds the least bit of a way, it will not give you a good time. If you irk one, it will do everything it can to find a flaw to exploit. It will call out to other entities. They will seek vulnerabilities.
What you are wanting to do, many will say, is not wise.
I see. To make myself clear im talking theoretically. To harness energy from the lower dimesional entities of the astral plane is only a means to an end. However my true interest is that of binding energy into an item through a conduet such as the crystal in order to direct energy more fluidly. Trapping a spirit forcefully is not the whole story. You see, there is an entity that has been attached to me for years now. It is a highly advanced negative spirit that I wish to be rid of.
However I also wish to trap the spirit and drain energy from it in order to prevent it from ever harming anyone again. A noble task indeed. With its energy drained I will then cast it back into the voids of the astral plane.
This is not a good thing to do as spirits are powerful beings and forcing one into a crystal to harness its power is not a wise thing to do; as they have the power to get its revenge and give you one hell of a nightmare, mark my words it will. This happened before to one of my personal enemies who attemped the same thing, and they got karma three times ten fold by a group of angry spirits, who gave them the worst of nightmares for a week until they eventually got put in a mental institute for a year because of his violent actions towards people.
So think twice before doing this selfish thing and you won't end up the same way.
