Twisted Nether Priesthood
By: / Beginner
The Twisted Nether currently needs a Priest. I am filling the role at this moment because the last few Priests have either left the site or the coven. The Twisted Nether is a small coven and could use someone who knows how to bring a group together - it may also benefit from recruiting for new membership. If you are interested in the position, join the coven and show what effect you would have on the coven. I will consider who would be best based on that. It would be ideal that you get to know the coven members as well.

If you would simply like to join the coven as a member, then please view the coven page and apply answering the questions requested. I don't see your application so just try again, I'll look it over.

I wish you and yours luck in finding a good Priest. It took me over a year to find someone who could contact me every day, invested as much time and love into the Hall as I've done, and someone who is loved by the members. It takes time, but make sure that the new Priest is someone you can call a friend (while being able to separate friendship and leadership responsibilities).

I wish you guys quite a bit of luck. Finding the perfect priest is difficult. Just remember not to rule out folks based on gender (considering several of the current covens have all female leaders).

On another note, feel free to let us in CoE know if you need help with anything. :)

Maybe someone who is a moderator must have coven priesthood, ask them someone may be interested.

Generally speaking, very few mods have the time and energy to devote themselves to mod concerns, member concerns, and priesthood concerns. Nor is a mod required to have a strong coven leadership, as many covens have excellent non-mod and often unranked (or poorly ranked) leaderships.

Several smaller covens (including Twisted Nether) have chosen to stay out of the politics of the website and rather have a small, quality membership. This means that their priesthood often comes out of the coven itself and when it does, they are generally not the sort of members who freely share with the whole of the website. I can name a handful of covens that aren't deeply involved in the website outside of their coven itself, all of them do exactly what they were intended to do.

That's not to say a mod couldn't do it as I can label off a group of former and current mods who have. I'm just saying that the implications of your suggestion are a bit much in my opinion.

Thank you guys for the support. I won't rule out females, if someone wants the role and they are a good fit, then that is fine by me. I will hold onto the position for now if no good candidate appears, and my coven is fine with that, I have just always seen myself as being someone who fits well into a secondary position - which is why I will consider someone else for the position of Priest if that person can positively integrate into the coven, ideally for at least a couple of months to show the true quality of their character and influence, and if they have the patience to lead a group.

To let you in on a now-not-so-much-of-a secret, I used to feel that I was best as a secondary aid because that's what I was for years. When push came to shove and I had to be the primary leader for my Hall, I learned a lot about myself, my members, and about what it is like to to be an effective leader.

If it comes down to you being a permanent Priest, Sozerius, I'm confident that you'll learn just as much as I did and integrate well with your Priestess.
