Who do you work with?

Voodoo Practitioners know as Bondye to be "The Vodou God." Or some would say "The creator." Bondye is the one and only God of this religion. The Loa however are eaisly mistaken to be Gods , but they are infact Spirits. Bondye uses these spirits "The Loa" as his way of spreading his own will.

Just about if not all work with one particular Loa, but give equal respect to them all. I work with Mambo La Sirene, also referred to as the Lwa of wealth. It is good to always lay out offerings to the Lwa you work with or serve. I've also worked with Papa Legba. Papa Legba is one of the most interesting of the Lwa. If you've ever made a statement saying "I've just finished speaking to Papa Loko" (as an example) Though if Papa Legba hasn't granted you permission to speak with the Lwa your statement is false. Legba stands between, the Physical world (mortal world ) and the spiritual world (( The Realm of the Lwa.)) Therefore to speak with any of the Lwa you must have Permission from Papa Legba.

If you work with any Lwa specfically please post them below and whatever you want to add on, I look forward to reading. Thank you. :D

Bondye or Bon Dieu is somewhat disinterested in the affairs of humans (cant say I blame him) and voodoo as a religion is basically deist. So he delegates control of affairs to the loa, a similar setup is apparantely in juju.
Ive only dealt with one loa, that being Marinette Bwa Cheche or Marinette Pied Noir as I prefer to call her. She told me one thing that I will never forget in regards to magic because it is true - 'Order cannot be opposed'

There are other Lwa who can bestow wealth upon those that treat them well, Ezili Freda, for instance. Tho she is fickle and needs special treatment, she is very effective when she gets to work, many who work with her will give her payment and service after the work is done, so as to motivate her. In Haitian Vodou the spirit world is known as Ginen, which is a mystical island beneath the sea. No one interacts with Bondeye, and it's not so much that he is uninterested in the affairs of humans as he is creating a directing an entire reality, kind of a busying task. The Lwa and humans are interdependent and as we do for the Lwa so do they do for us. It's give and take. Also, for clarification La Sirene is the Lwa of under the sea wealth, but even she is not above the Lwa Met Agwe, The Admiral.
