Sounds Rediculous
By: / Beginner
I have always been drawn to ... certain things I won't get into at the moment. But my primary concern is I have never seeked it out...honestly in fear. I have been plagued with nightmares, horrifically vivid nightmares and bad feelings for years now. Sometimes only managing and hour or so of sleep. I've always been told not to go near magic because my grandmother did and "ran into trouble". I'm probably just rambling here. I'm not even sure of my question anymore. Has anyone else had issues with anything like this. A fear you know you have for no reason but won't go away

well, sometimes when you have fears for no reasons it can be a fear you have from a past life, also, I wouldn't worry too much, for all of us, there is a time we can overcome every fear if we set our minds to it, because 95% of the time it's in our heads

I agree with oakgrove. I would also like to add that sometimes we confuse fear with uncertainty as well as fear the unknown. Sometimes we know what we want, but dont know a thing about it which can lead to us being afraid.

who is in control? you or the fear?

the journey is fraught with peril, but the rewards
are worth it. especially overcoming the perils.
that is the best reward of all. the rest is icing on
the cake.

your choice

I agree with thorleific, but what are you afraid of? What type of trouble? What are you drwn to? How are they connected? If they are not too personal to share, would you like to type it up so we can help.

If you have been having problems and fear because of the nightmares, or if you have been seeing the same nightmare again and again then mail me. maybe i could help you by interpreting the dreams.

Insomnia and chronic nightmares as well as irrational fear can be caused by a number of things including psychological issues. You should consult a physician about these problems. It is possible this is a mental health issue. If so the advice to avoid magic is a good one at this time. That could be how your grandmother "ran into trouble"

Fear is only real until we realize that it isn't
And if that doesn't seam helpful I would just try to control you're dream, but I envy you, I don't even see dreams, my advice comes from the 4 times in my whole life when I did have dreams, since I realized that it was a dream because they are not common to me I was able to control them

I agree with Linda, cure the nightmares and fears, be it with a therapist or a spiritual healer (they should not charge you, look for local groups). Depending on your past, there are also free of charge therapy groups and hotlines. Do a bit of research.

Religion can also help. If you are interested in magick, you can find a spiritual group that is open to such things so that you are not ashamed of talking about your interests.

Bottom line you need a strong sense of self and balance before entering magick safely. You don't have that, so although it is not a bad thing to gain knowledge, you should not attempt any magick practice besides perhaps honoring and praying until you feel confidant in yourself and are free from these extreme fears.
