Magick Stones

Just today as i was getting for work i was putting on my crystal quartz pendant, something was calling at me from my stone collection. I look and there's this some that i never had. It's like a chalky white with like a bright royal blue too. Does anybody know what type of stone is it, and why it might of just appeared and called out at me? Thank you for your help. Blessed be.

I would need to see a photograph. It sounds like sodalite but it could also be a very natural (not dyed) lapis lazuli or chrysocolla. Lapis can have quite a lot of white to it and only seems so deeply blue because most distributors dye them bluer to make a not so nice piece (in the perspective of a jeweler) look more valuable and attractive. But the difference between lapis and sodalite is that lapis generally has what looks like metal flecks while sodalite is more veins of white naturally and has no flecks.

the chalky makes me think of howlite, but it typically has grey in it. the royal blue sounds like lapis lazuli.

if the lapis lazuli was cut within chalky quartz, that might be it.

can you put a picture on your profile photos of it?

that is a really beautiful and unusual piece you have there.

I see what looks like a turquoise color predominantly but then that striking part that as you described is royal blue.

the colors are set in what looks like milky white quartz.

honestly, if a piece like that called out to me, my first impression would be that a new mystery just kind of happened to me. am I right that there are three different kinds of stone in that piece?

if so I would think about combinations of three perhaps.

anyway, what a beautiful piece. Congrats on it finding you!
