Mentor?
By:
I'm looking for someone to help me out. I have a basic knowledge of witchcraft and how it works. But I'd love for someone to guide me in actually casting spells and learning more etc. I'd also love to find a coven, eventually anyway.

I am about to create a thread sharing some good books, very recommended in different paths or forums. (just the name, not the book). Also, find a coven helps a lot for beginners.

I would suggest doing your own research on leadership after spending some time getting to know those people on the site who have similar interests, before applying, as your path is unique to you

This is a phase of yours, where self study is of utmost importance. Research on various topics and different paths, choose on a path that suits you and your interests the most and dedicate yourself.
Most teachers are busy and occupied with some work, so you will hardly find one who may advertise themselves or ask for students, while many don't prefer it. However, if you have doubt with anything, you may freely mail experienced people here and ask them and they might help you with that.
As for covens, SoM has a wide variety of covens. You may consider yourself to go through the coven pages and see which coven offers you the things that you want to learn. You may also ask the Priest or Priestess.
I wish you luck on your future endeavours :)
