I'm not sure, so don't quote me, but I feel it would be the same as forming a connection with any god, pray, worship, offerings, things like that, but again, don't quote me on this, it's not my forte.

Satanists don't believe that Satan was evil. They don't believe in the Satan that Christians do. They just put Satan's name on their God because Satan was the Hebrew word for "the adversary" I am Wiccan but I still do my research on other religions. Satanism isn't evil. From what I've seen, no religion truly is. It's only what pop culture (not to mention a little bit of ignorance from other religions) what makes them out to be.

From what I've read of Michael Ford, he views such beings as archetypes that reflect aspects within you want to reach--a way to reach the universe through the higher self in a way.
I wouldn't personally practice Ford's rituals, but I know some who do.
But I don't believe Ford is the way you want to go. First of all, I really have a problem with the "Lucifer" aspect of Satanism because they take the entirely fabricated Christian story of "Lucifer" as a fallen angel and use it. Ancient texts of that story don't exist. Lucifer as an actual being is only truly the God of the Evening and Morning Star (Venus), also called Phospheros.
As for other authentic angels, yes! Most certainly. Everyone has their own way, but a good start is meditating on them and being open to messages in any form during that meditation (feeling, vision, thought, sound, etc). From there, you can find out which one(s) you wish to continue to work with.
It's just like contacting any other angel. Just, as you are meditating to contact them, keep in mind the kind of angel that you want to come in contact with. Just be careful of what you wish for, and think you want to know...
