What is god?

this is where you can post your opinion on what god/ a god is.
please do so below.

my opinion:
god is essentially what we all know to be the residual energy of life. it is also the potential and kinetic energy of life. many would interperet this as love, however, i dont think that "god" can be summed up in a word. i do believe that there is a high power, and that he/she/it does keep balance. if you ask me why i believe there is a higher power, i really dont know. i just have this gut feeling about it.

I believe god is love becuz he create my heart that's full of love kind kindness. Love has to come from some where. There has to be some root to it I don't think love is just something out here on a wim for us to just catch on to. Like you said god is balance. He is good.

The Catholic Catechism has the question "What is God". The answer is:-
God is the Supreme Spirit.
I think that sums it up fairly well. Whether that "spirit" is thought of as Love, or The Life Force, or whatever, is as the previous post states. It is whatever you perceive God to be.

Well, can anyone actually know what good is? Lets look at the world we live in for a moment. It is finite in its size, yet infinite in its experiances. Noone alive at this very moment can comprehend everything going on at once. Now imagine the rest of existance, such as the universe in general. If you wrap your mind around that then you must also consider the fact that for every action you take, an infinite number of other actions could have been taken. Now imagine a being capable of understanding, comprehending, and setting into motions all these factors and maintaining them on the most basic of levels. I like to think of God in this way. It comforts me to think that such a thing could be possible. This question has no end of answers.

I believe god is everything nothing and ever degree and combination thereof. I also believe there are no gods, few gods, a lot of gods and an infinite number of gods. Depends how many you want, pick and choose. A sea of possibility.

i believe that God is simply a concept, and to worship him means that you are worshiping by proxy the man who created him ( this is a comment spoken by someone else that i also agree with )
