Food for thought

Hi im wulfgar, and I had a serious thought when i was reading a manga. (I know most of the stuff in manga cant be real but it does spark ideas). In the manga the main character goes into a state called the "blank state". In this state his mind is sort of separated and manifested into a spirit like creature version of his mind while his body is more in a trance. Also in this state his power increases cause his power isn't limited by his conscious thoughts and emotions. The creature which is him in a spirit like form controls the body so it wont go berserk.
What got me thinking is how much this reminds me of astral projection, but instead of the mind leaving, it manifest into our plane like a spirit. Also the conscious in the body is the sub-conscious like when we sleep our sub-conscious takes over in a way. I think that the sub-conscious holds alot of power. Cause in the plane which we see our dream the sub-conscious can create worlds and lives. What I was thinking that if someone were to enter into this "blank state" they could use the power of the sub-conscious in this plane while still in control. Might be a scary thought at first but if this does work then we could also learn more about how our minds work and our selves. But the problem i have been having with this is that if the limits on our bodies also affect our sub-conscious when someone enters this state. I would like peoples thoughts on this, but don't just say it will never work without thinking about it. Think on the small possibility of it and what would happen. Oh and the manga is called Kekkaishi if anyone wants to read about what i post.

I read some of the forums and have a better understanding of astral projection. And I figure in order to reach this "blank state" you sub-conscious has to have something in order for it to move your body. Kind of like a dual personality or a highly cooperative spirit guild. Other wise your just aping and your body will be in rest like normal. Thats what I could think up with what I read.
