Hello, here is a suggestion about meditation if you want;
When one meditates, try to engulf your mind or, try to involve as many as your five senses(sight, smell, hear,feel, taste) as you can on whatever single scene you can imagine. Here are some examples; a waterfall scene, a quiet secluded lake scene, a calm, secluded nature scene where there is a pool of water, a beach scene. First try one minute, then two minutes then, three minutes.., up to five minutes max. A meditation is like a day dream and everyday noises tend to quiet away because your mind likes what it is trying to do at the moment in its entertainment.
Meditation is, mental control of one's creative imagination. This is the difference between kids and adults, our mental control. A kid has all sorts of good quality imagination but, does not know how to control it, channel it, for a goal. They just willy-nilly get all sorts of random thoughts.
Meditation is basic training so that our mental desires can be focused into spell-casting. First step is Meditation, 2nd step is what state of being one needs to be when casting a spell. You can read books on Wicca, etc. But, first step is getting good at meditation. I didn't state mastering meditation. Just get good at it. You'll know when your mental control is good enough.
Here is a description of a beach scene;
Think of being at a beach. You are half-sitting, half-lying down on a beach chaise-lounge chair under the shade of a palm tree gently swaying from a light and cool sea breeze against the hot bright sun. You are totally relaxed and amused by what you see. You see sea-gulls playing and dancing in the air and swooping down into the bright blue sea to catch their food. You hear the sea-gulls with their welcoming beach sounds. There is no one here. It is just you, the beach, and the sea. You see and hear the waves undulating coming in and out and wetting the sand. The sand, is a bright soft yellow and glistens at some spots. You see some white cumulus clouds against the blue sky set against the blue sea. What an awesome palette of colors. An artist would be overjoyed to be here to paint this scene.
Then, you decide to turn on your ear-phone mp3 or CD player and you hear AC/DC playing "You Shook Me All Night Long"
and you get up and dance your A-- off on the sand, while your heart and mind soars in awesome joy;

She was a fast machine
She kept her motor clean
She was the best dang woman I had ever seen

She had the sightless eyes
Telling me no lies
Knockin' me out with those American thighs
Taking more than her share
Had me fighting for air
She told me to come, but I was already there
'Cause the walls start shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching
And we were making it and you -
Shook me all night long..,

Ooops, I got carried away. But, you get the idea, right?
Hope this helps. Blessed Be.

Of course, when you meditate, sit or lye down, relaxed, preferably sitting down, close your eyes, and notice your breathing. Try to slow down your breathing just a little bit. Then, breathe in through your nose then out through your mouth. Later on, you can get fancy by closing one nostril, breathing in with one nostril and breathing out with your mouth. Do this several times then, do the other nostril the same amount of times. This breathing exercise has something to do with improving your "kundalini" stuff. Look it up.
Cheers.
