Just curious

Hi. I'm new to magic. I saw some spells that say that they can turn me into a witch. Is it possible to just follow the procedures and become a witch? Can anyone tell me?

A witch is simply a title some magick practitioners go by. Many think to be a witch the only qualifications you need is to do magick which many believe everyone is capable of. Though it should be noted many whom practice metaphysics do not choose to identify as wtches. So to answer your question, you do not need a spell to become a witch hun. But if you wish to do a sort of initiation ritual of some sort you always can. Like a right of passage to mark the beginning of your journey.

If you are thinking the spell will turn you green and a flying broom creature, that's just not it. You don't need a spell to become a witch at all.
What a real witch is: Someone who practices magick.

Most are known for witchcraft: Someone who practices on their own without a religion.

I will keep this short. If you don't wanna be considered a witch you don't have to call yourself one, if you do want to consider yourself a witch you can call yourself one. Basically, you can become a witch by choice, you don't need a spell for it.

Some of those spells focus on fiction /media like Charmed " claiming " to grant/unlock Hollywood style powers. Magick is more subtle than that and it is a way of life that anyone can follow/adopt without the need for a spell. I believe there are some ritualistic spells that are more symbolic of joining this path but they don't change you in any way and are rather initiation type actions which are completely optional. Being a witch isn't a matter of genetics, birth, etc...but as has been stated a way of life, in terms of Wiccans a religion, etc...To summarize you don't need a spell to be a witch but rather practice, experience, and dedication.

Hey! I won't repeat what everyone else has said, but I know it can be confusing to just kind of jump into magick with so many different terms flying around, especially on a site where everyone seems to know what they're talking about.
Witch I think, is a very vague term, you can identify as a certain type of witch like elemental witch, eclectic witch, sea witch, green witch, or any combination of them because there isn't exactly a huge rule book telling you who you can and can't be.
This is a big list, with a bit of explanation if you need anything further: http://spiritwalkministry.com/traditional_witchcraft/types_of_witchcraft
Disclaimer: I don't approve or agree with everything on this site/page, I've only used a certain part of it for reference so I haven't thoroughly read through .
Also note you don't need to identify as any, and if you do it can take a long time of experience building and just finding out what you like!
