I'm a newbie

Ok I'm 13 and I come from a Christian family so it's impossible to do anything Wiccan without then noticing. I just want to learn bindings that wiccans can use because I've seen some stuff on here that litterally makes no sense. But I understand that Wiccans aren't just a little wizard/witch religion. I understand it.

Welcome to Spells of Magic,

So you are a newbie to Wicca, well the first thing you should know is that sense you are under the age of 18, you are still under the "control" by your parents. So I believe if you have any interest in any of the religions/practices you should either talk with you parents and go on with their permission, or wait until your old enough.

Anyways, if you want to know the origin of Wicca here is a link to a site in which will talk about it.

Hello and Merry Meet ,
I am new to the site but not to Wicca , and I know about that which you ask , who do you want to bind and why ? Also crucifistionists(christians) arent that clever that they will know what you are doing .You musnt flaunt it or dress up like Drusilla the Vamp other wise even the birds in the trees will know what you are up to. Xtians bind themselves at the time of christianing/baptism,they revoke their personal power and then when 7yrs old and again at 13 they make it worse by that which they call confirmation .I can tell you what you want to know ,but I will have to know what you want it for .

LOL ! peoples "law " si not Wiccan law. and if you want to learn the craft then it doesnt matter whether you are 8 or 18 ,also this kid is not the property of parents or anybody else. There are many teen covens and hedge/kitchen practitioners the Craft isnt alchohol or tobacco ,it isnt age restricted.

Hi FallenBoy,

Welcome to SOM. I've been a practicing Wiccan for 30 years and a High Priestess since 1996. Although I don't take on-line students I am more than happy to point you at some good resources to learn more about the Wiccan religion. You might want to start with the articles here, especially:

What Wicca Is and Isn't: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=637268

So You Want a Teacher: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=588889

Resources for Beginner Wiccans: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=500751

And there are a number of articles about Wicca in the Main Wicca Posts thread at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=580909

Now, I want to clarify something Pru said. You are of course free to pursue any religion you wish; however, here in the USA it is illegal for anyone to interfere in the religious upbringing of a minor against the parents' consent. That means that no reputable group or teacher is going to agree to take you on until you are at least 18 years old or until you get permission to study from your parents. This is discussed at length at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=556828

However, asking questions and getting answers on a message board is not the same as teaching a religion, so feel free to ask away with any questions you might have.
