What research have you already done on your own on this subject. After all, people shouldn't have to do all the work for you.

Lark is correct, while you might be lucky to find someone to teach you, it's better to learn on your own. try going to the library and look for books on the subject or time period.

Most mythologies don't specifically mention lances AND warriors, though. I know of many mythologies with warriors - no specific weapons. As well I know of several with magical lances - but not one specific warrior who weilds it.

Personally I know of only two particularly noteworthy mythological lances off the top of my head which would be Ascalon, wielded by Saint George in his battle against the dragon and Luin of Celtchar, a spear forged originally for the Irish Celtic deity Lugh but used by a number of warriors in the Togail Bruidne Da Derga. I'm afraid I don't know much about Saint George's story although I know a little bit about the Luin.

I would say though that most warriors of that era wielded a lance only on horse back so very few specialized solely in it. Meaning most knights could wield a lance but few were known explicitly for it.

You know i write novel and there i need lancer i know lot of about Cú Chulainn but this hero is already used in japanese animation so i don't want that people said that i stole idea from animation so i seek other lancers ummm you know i live in very small town and here we don't have many libraries besides our people don't love fantasy and mythology soooo.........it's very hard for me to learn with my own.....If you are interested i will tell you smth about my novel----"War of Olympia" war where seven sorcerers summon mythological spirits and after summoning they starts battle for immortality in the end of battle from the sky winner receives cup full with drink of immortality but when this cup comes from the sky it destroys ground but some participants know it and they don't wish to be immortal they want to destroy this cup until cup destroys the world(i write this novel inspired by japanese animation which i mentioned in the start of this reply so i don't want that people thought that i copied it so when i ask for help don't write me learn with your own when i ask you for help you must guess that i couldn't learn with my own sooo i ask you for it!

You are here on the internet which means you can learn on your own. As a writer myself I am rather appalled that you are coming here for things to use in your own novel. Do you own work, do your own writing. You have the internet use some google.

Heck, I went on Google and found any number of references to mythology, warriors, and spears. It just looks like you don't want to do the work and the research which is the core of any successful writer's work.

As the others stated you have access to google, they're not that hard to find but I would also add that you may only use material from this site for personal and non-commercial use so if you want to ever publish this novel I'd seek inspiration else where. You may consider adapting your own characters, they need not be taken from mythology and if you want to be original it's better you do. A trick used by many writers is to draw on a number of sources for any one character rather than simply using one from legend that doesn't have a copyright :)
