Sex magic

I need opinions on sex magic. For me i think it's just wrong, i don't feel comfortable reading or talking too long about it. I think it's something that should not be used that way.

I do not deal with sex magick in any way, but I would like to know why you think it is wrong. Isn't sex the way you were created? I do not like talking about it for a long period of time but I don't think it is wrong not to talk about it. As long as it is not a stupid spell like to get everyone infatuated with you, then it is okay for me. You are entitled to your opinion, though.

I don't think sex itself is wrong, in fact i think it's a sacred act but the idea of using it to perform some spell is just....Revolting to me.

I think that's a bit extreme. I thought sex magic used the tension between or towards someone/something to power the work.. it doesn't always have to be rated x.

While this practice can be used for spellwork it is far from being about casting spells. The act of sex magic is sacred. It's a means of building energy through a sexual activity whether by self or with another. It's not subjective to sexual orientation. In fact many deities like offerings of energy built in such a manner. In Northern-Tradition Shamanism it's a means of getting into an altered state of conscious, and can also be a way to achieve the horsing of a deity. It can be done as a means of devotions, offering, getting close to your partner (if there is one), and growing a connection to the deity being offered to. As I said, it's so much more than casting spells. I would personally say that using it to cast a spell is more of a misconception.

Merry meet! I partially agree with you all. Sex is supposed to be a sacred and wonderful and sacred part of life. Eventually one will become exposed to it and like everything, there is a good and bad in sex. It doesn't matter what our opinion is about sex magick. I personally think that if you want to enhance your sex life then who is anyone to judge you? Hopefully this post will help you or someone you know. Blessed be.

ok so. sex magick is not bad, it's natural. and it could be sacred, or it could be something thats not. we as humans have a right to explore our sexuality. and the practice itself is the use of energy generated by orgasm for spells. there is honestly nothing wrong with experimenting. and the fact of it being sacred, personally i feel there's more excitement in being with a stranger, but not everyone is comfortable with that. it doesn't have to be a bad thing, its what you make it.

Sex magic is often used in ritual to raise energy, and is a powerful means of doing so. Using it for that purpose is a personal decision, usually between two consenting adults (or alone). I don't think judging whether it is 'right' or 'wrong' makes sense as it is so personal.

There are some cultures that revere sex as a kind of magic in and of itself - but yeah, there's nothing innately wrong with sex magic. I mean, there are those who use it for nefarious purposes, but most of the people I know who use sex magic use it to get closer to their partners (or themselves) or achieve a higher level of consciousness or meditative state. I know a couple who use the karma sutra as a way of strengthening their relationship with one another and with their respective deities.
