A heavy question.

I'll introduce myself briefly. This is my first post. I don't believe in magic. However, i have always loved the occult and found it fascinating. Ever since i was a kid i had this insatiable academic interest in the things that go bump in the night. My disbelief allowed me to freely delve into things that others might find disturbing if they thought it to be true.

So on to my point. I have read a lot of Grimoire's written through history and just wanted some opinions from people who actually believe in this stuff.

You see, even if it all existed i had no real need for it. Everything in my life that i have ever wanted i was able to obtain through hard work and a little luck. Magic seemed so, unnecessary for me....except for one thing.

I'm 25 now, but ever since i was a child i always wanted to be a female. but of course, i'm not. I am a man. One of the first things i did with my interest in the occult was to dig to find ways that i could change my gender. Even in fictional works that had no intent on being serious i still loved to find ways they claimed to change gender.

unfortunately the only thing i would want magic to help me with it cannot do. As I'm sure many of you folk know if you have ever looked, this doesn't exist. The vast majority of people who even believe in this say it cant be done. Even in fiction, anne rice, world of darkness, and other made up worlds, the concept is always considered nigh impossible.

But i got to thinking. What about summoning. People say that humans are incapable of casting a spell that changes ones gender. However, no one ever talks about the ability being barred from something else.

Though it seems very Faustian, I'm sure somebody has at least brought this up. I wanted your thoughts. when people say magic cannot do this, do they really mean that in their paradigm of reality there is no way to truly do this?

Also, a side note, i have never actually talked to anyone who believes in this stuff about this stuff. So if i'm doing something taboo, sorry.

What they mean to say is that magick will not change your physical (as ins sexual organs) gender, however, what can be shiften (even without the use of magick) is your spiritual gender. This has been my experience, very similar to spiritual shapeshifting.

The people who say it is impossible regardless of a spiritual transformation either have never experienced somebody transform who they were spiritually like this, or they are just stubborn in their beliefs. I obviously believe that a transformation of the higher self is absolutely doable.

Now I am not sure what you mean about the summoning part or what you are getting at if you would be willing to explain a little further. I hope I have answered what you needed to know, though.

To put it bluntly, can something summoned change ones gender? Is there an entity capable of doing this? Has anyone dabbled in anything relatable?

Not to my knowledge, no. Nothing magick related can change your physical gender. This is my standpoint. :)

Why don't you try and get the money to have the surgery?

No, nothing magical can change your gender. Those of us who believe don't consider magic to be unnatural or supernatural because it obeys the laws of nature. Fortunately science does have a solution, and if it's something you truly want you should focus your energy on that.

Yes I agree. You can change yourself spiritually, emotionally, or mentally through magick in degrees. But usually when dealing with physical aspects your best bet is to stick with the physical reality of things. i.e. if you want to lose weight, excercise and diet. You want to be prettier, highlight your best features and remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You want to be a different gender physically, your best bet is to save up and get the surgery. I don't see much luck in having magick change that, unfortunately. We are who we are physically for a reason. Maybe striving to save the money and getting to where you never thought possible would do things for you that a simple spell could not do. Hypotheticaly speaking, it would change your appearance but maybe it's a truth In the journey. It may teach you things you would not have learned otherwise.

Hey,this might help..I came across this a while ago.Hindu mythology has many examples of deities changing gender, manifesting as different genders at different times, or combining to form androgynous or hermaphroditic beings. Gods change sex or manifest as an Avatar of the opposite sex in order to facilitate sexual congress.Non-divine beings also undergo sex-changes through the actions of the gods, as the result of curses or blessings, or as the natural outcome of reincarnation. Many deities in Hinduism and Indian mythology are represented as both male and female at different times and in different incarnations or may manifest with characteristics of both genders at once, such as Ardhanarishvara, created by the merging of the god Shiva and his consort Parvati.

There is some more though

Changes of sex and cross-dressing also occur in myths about non-divine figures. One such figure is Shikhandi, a character in the Mahabharata . He was originally born as a girl named 'Shikhandini' to Drupada, the king of Panchala. In a previous lifetime, Shikandini was a woman named Amba, who was rendered unmarriageable by the hero Bhishma. Humiliated, Amba undertook great austerities, and the gods granted her wish to be the cause of Bhishma's death. Amba was then reborn as Shikhandini. A divine voice told Drupada to raise Shikhandini as a son; so Drupada raised her like a man, trained her in warfare and arranged for her to marry a female. On the wedding night, Shikhandini's wife discovered that her "husband" was female, and insulted her. Shikhandini fled, but met a yaksha who exchanged his sex with her. Shikhandini returned as a man with the name 'Shikhandi' and led a happy married life with his wife and children

They seem to go on for quiete some time, including Inanna, Goddess of "Infinite Variety" being able to do things like this.

Well Hope it helps.

Tyler, very interesting.

However, gender change, why would you want to change whom you are? Why not be happy, and make the best of it?
You are who you are for a reason. Rather you believe in magick or not.

Balanced Blessings

First. Not believing in magick, why are you here, posting even? And second, gender change not possible using magick. Only surgery can physically do that. But if your mind is still one, you will never truly be the other. And summoning something to change your gender is even more ridiculous sounding. If you want the change, get the counseling and surgery. Don't mettle in something that doesn't exist. Its just a waste of time. And keep this in mind, wanting to change and needing to change are two very different things. I happen to know, as I know someone who went through this. Whatever you decide may you find peace in yourself. Blessed Be...
