Hello guys. High Magician here bored as a pencil and I wanted to know what are "your" top movies about witches, magicians, high magick, anything you can think of. Movies can also regard about religion like Priest and Angels vs Demons. Anything you have in mind will be helpful. HELP ME!
i liked angels and demons as well as the lost symbol even though it was never a movie i think, but it portrays mind over matter like affecting the world around you and that is cool when it was described in detail
blessed be
Old movie called paradox Kevin Sorbo, the matrix (sort of), practical magic, bedknobs and broomsticks, scorpion king, Matilda(sort of), warriors of virtue, and a personal favourite Storm Warriors(English subtitled, usually).. many many more..
Airbender (they better make that sequel!)
Tai Chi and magick, what is more awesome?
The Mummy (first and second)
The Sorcerers Apprentice
The Craft
And yes, I'm lame, Hocus Pocus. It was a favorite of mine as a kid.
I notice that more books concerning magick and witchcraft can be closer to the truth than movies. I've yet to see a truly authentic representation of magick in fiction films. I enjoy fantasy movies though. They provoke the mind with their imagery. I'm an artist, so I find that they spark creativity in myself when I'm drawing blanks.
My favorite was season of the witch. Even though I saw it before I made this post.
They should make movies that are real and practical magick. A war of High Magick vs Low magick. Witches vs Sorcerers. I would love to make one but I don't have the time or resources.
Remember always that movies are made for entertainment. The scripts are fantasy, imagination of the writers. Ever since Gerald Gardner published his book "Witchcraft Today" there have been movies,TV shows, and thousands of books on magic. Most of these are also fantasy; very few tell the truth.
