What can fairies do? Are they just to look cute, or do they have special powers?
I find it hard to belive that such a thing exists, but they are fun to draw :)

Well actually a pretend fairy such as tinker bell would be spelled fairy, but a real "fairy" would be spelled faerie. Faeries are the elemental beings for the element of air. They sometimes apear as balls of light that you can see at the corner of your eye. And sometimes if you have a flower bed or garden which I belive most witches should have to give something back to Mother Nature you may see your flowers shaking with no apparent source such as wind or bugs. If you want to know more about the elemental beings then PM me.

sorry for the spelling :P faerie faerie I hope I will remember.
I think I saw one the other day, or is it just my imagination?
It was like a little ball of light. Is a faerie a little spirit?
thats kinda cute :3
So their superpower is to take care of the witchs flowers?

there are several different types of faerie, not just the ones that reveal themselves as balls of light.

paraphrasing or quoting most of this from a book called witchcraft and practical magic

"Faeries take posession of the human world at night, and their flickering unearthly lights act as a warning to humans to keep away"

Faerie and Fey are offshoots of french and are replacements to the english word elf, which is interchangeable.

"pixie, elf, goblin, banshee, sidhe and leprechaun in ireland. fynadere on the isle of man, gruagach, urisk, brollachan and fuath in scotland. They range in height from the size of a human to minute proportions and their appearance varies from extreme beauty to grotesque ugliness."

faeries can lure people into their kingdom, or if they are particularly angry they may kidnap people.

there also are/were cults that worshipp(ed) the faeries.

Do they like humans? What makes them angry at us? do they protect the nature?

well faeries have their own kingdom some believe in it i personally do it has many names but most just call it faerie land and no it doesnt have a spot on a map it is on the astral plane although there are places some people believe faeries gather like glastonbury. Faeries do tend for nature you could say that they are angels of the earth and they are here to nurture, guide and protect this earth.

faeries are not just air spirits they belong to all four elements, a faerie belonging to air is called a sylph, a faerie belonging to water is called an undine for fire a salamander and for earth gnomes. But they millions of other faeries out there some we probably havent even discovered yet.

Faeries used to have a bad name they were sometimes just judged by people that believed that they were evil little troublemakers this is quite the opposite most fae are peaceful wonderful spirits who just tend to a world we ourselves are destroying.

I dont believe faeries take people away to their own kingdom on purpose their music alone is said to send you off into a deep kind of sleep sort of enchant you so you are so deep into it you may not return to your physical body so be aware.

Maybe they were confusing faeries with pucks...

but like don't they like to be around were magick is still practiced... like New Orleans for example and how they do voodoo so they'd be more likely to be around there?
