There is plenty of evidence that Jesus lived. The resurrection? That's a Christian belief; no evidence.

This forum is not a place to discuss such topics; however -

None of the writers mentioned were present at the crucifixion or the resurrection so all of their writings are based on hearsay. Many of them were writing long after the death of Christ, ie: Josephus did not put forward his writings until 70 years after the stories in the New Testament, Tacitus nearly 100 years later, etc. They would have been familiar with the stories of the crucifixtion in the new and quickly growing Christian religion and most likely used these stories as fact. Thus one must take these writings, not as fact, but rather as probably tainted.

One can believe in the stories of the Bible or not. But there is no credible proof one way or the other.

Now, could you please in the future limit your postings to magical topics.

Sorry,I thought that the idea of someone coming back from the dead could be considered a paranormal topic.

Growing up Christian, I would say Jesus did live. But like Lark said, it also depends if you believe in the bible teachings of him.

Bryson said there is proof of Jesus living, and it's true. Religion researches have proved it.

You got to understand, that the bible is full of stories on what happened. No one was at Jesus's persecution at the time, so it can be sketchy coming from a person.

Did he live? Probably. Are his veiws and stories real? Thats your veiw.
If you do follow the bible, and it's teachings you should be able to live a free will life.

I'm surprised at your comment,Lark! This is not usually like you. After all, we discuss Wicca on this site, and that's a religion. We discuss the beliefs of Christ's miracles; are they not magic?

True good point Bryson, i however agree with both of you. His magic Jesus claimed to practice did eventually become known as magic. But lark is also right, usually discussing other religions can cause quit the stire.

Brysing, the reason that I was concerned about this topic is that it can and often does lead to arguments over what is true and what is not and that can deteriorate quickly into name calling and flame wars.
