"dollies" is Voodun, not Celtic Pagan.

I like to make a variety of soups and breads from scratch. Then a fire out in front with some hot chocolate or apple cider. My daughter always insists I buy pomegranates during this time of year.

The most important part of a sabbat is to reflect on its meaning, the time of year and how it compares to our lives. We do this during the dinner. It's not about spells.

You can do a ritual that is much like a mass. I've seen some that incorporate the story of Persephone instead of Mabon and use pomegranate as the main symbolic centerpiece. There are even some on YouTube.

Mabon is a day we look forward to in the family (and I'll be honest) mostly for the food. When else do you have an excuse to make a ridiculous amount of a variety of soup and still seem sane? Chili...cream of potatoe...7 bean... Mmmm, I can't wait!!! Maybe this year I'll try tomatoe soup too. :D

If you aren't a good cook, I highly recommend the dried soups in a bag. They generally need nothing more than water or stock and a few hours simmering on the stove or in a crock pot.

Hey thanks :D maybe I'll do something like that for mabon it seems fun the reason I said I wanted to make a poppet is because it seemed natural on that day and fun I guess (but food is much more better >w>)
