Element chants for?

Example, these:

chant #1,

Earth, my body
Water, my blood
Air, my breath,
and Fire, my spirit.

chant #2 (alternate version),

Earth my body, soil and sand,
Make me strong, heart and hand.
Water my blood, flowing strong,
Lead me with your healing song.
Air my breath, blowing true,
Let my life take flight in you.
Fire my spirit, burning bright.

To remind you we are made of all. You can use them at the beginning of a ritual, or as a ritual itself adding candles and placing elements on your altar. Others, I am sure, have other ways and reasons to use these chants, I am giving my two cents as a witch. Blessed Be...

In my own real-life coven we used these chants to help raise energy during ritual, particularly if we were raising it for healing or strengthening purposes. As has been mentioned, the chants remind us that we are made of and connected intimately to all of the Elements.
